NAJMUL HUSSAIN
COLOMBO : Fathima Zahra Thayoob of Ududeniya, Kandy was sworn in as an Attorney-at-Law of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka before Supreme Court Judge Padman Surasena.
She has become the first female Attorney-at-Law from Ududeniya. She received her education up to the GCE Ordinary Level at Ududeniya Muslim Vidyalaya and continued her Advanced Level studies at the Kandy Girls’ High School. She excelled in the Advanced Level examination, securing outstanding results. She subsequently obtained her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from the University of Colombo and completed her professional legal education at the Sri Lanka Law College.
Attorney-at-Law Fathima Zahra Thayoob is the youngest daughter of M.J.M. Thayoob and Wahid Jasmin. She is the granddaughter of the late Alhaj O.M. Ameen, former President of the Ududeniya Jamihul Azhar Jumma Mosque, and the niece of its current President, A.M. Sajahan.
