COLOMBO — The Lanka Business Alliance (LBA) held its Colombo Chapter Gathering today at the DI Auditorium, Colombo on Thursday October 15 focusing on the evolving business environment and the need to adapt business strategies to changing microeconomic and macroeconomic policies of the government.
Delivering the keynote presentation, Rifas Jabbar, FCA, Chairman of the Lanka Business Alliance, explained the ongoing transformation of the economic system from a subsidized economy towards an efficiency-driven economy, highlighting the implications of this shift for businesses across sectors.
Mr. Jabbar emphasised that systematizing existing business operations is essential for long-term sustainability and success in an increasingly uncertain business environment. He noted that although introducing systematic processes and restructuring business operations may initially be challenging, these measures are vital for improving efficiency, strengthening resilience, and ensuring long-term business survival.
The presentation sparked an enthusiastic exchange of views among participants, who shared their perspectives on the challenges facing businesses and explored practical approaches to navigating the changing economic landscape.
Members of the LBA Colombo Chapter, Executive Committee members of the LBA, and other distinguished guests attended the gathering, which provided a valuable platform for knowledge-sharing, discussion, and strengthening business collaboration
