RIYADH : Having achieved the target among the senior citizens and middle aged the authorities decided to cover the teen – to be exact 12 and upward – for the vaccine. When my son booked his son, Rayyan (13), he received the appointment pretty fast and by Thursday morning he got the first shot with the ever popular Pfizer.
On enquiring, the teen said that he did not feel a thing and no sign of any after effect. The response from the parents as well as the teens were amazing. At a time when many countries are struggling to serve their senior citizens, everyone is grateful for the highly efficient way Saudi Arabia has almost completed that task and started to concentrate on the young generation.
My grandson, Rayyan’s feedback really encouraged me to write these few lines..He said there was a festive mood among the kids at the most famous vaccine center in Riyadh – The Riyadh Exhibition Center.
Two more kids whom I know very well, Wardah and Mohamed are impatiently counting the days and I learn they are fixed for Sunday.I found their parents too are over enthusiastic and they had very high word of praise for the Saudi government. We learn the health authorities in the Kingdom have expanded the corona virus disease vaccination for safety of young and the old.
