recognizing excellence in website design, technological performance, content, user experience,
accessibility, and innovation. The Best Government Website category recognizes public sector websites
that demonstrate effective delivery of information and services to the public.
The revamped Ministry website launched on 18 May 2026 was developed as part of the Common
Website Platform Development Project, which also seeks to bring Sri Lanka Missions and Posts abroad
under a secure, standardized, and centrally managed digital framework. The platform is designed to
improve the accuracy and consistency of official information, strengthen accessibility and website
security, and facilitate efficient delivery of information and services.
The Ministry remains committed to continuously improving its digital presence and
completing the Common Website Platform Development Project by 31 August 2026, with the
objective of bringing all Sri Lanka Mission and Post websites under a unified, efficient,
accessible, and citizen-centred digital framework.
