COLOMBO — Free Palestine Movement of Sri Lanka had organized “ Nakba Day “ Anniversary of the Nakba an Evening of Solidarity at the Public Library Auditorium, Colombo on Tuesday May 14.
Speeches, Poetry, Drama, Video Presentation, Songs, Photography Exhibition and Children Activities were held.
Former Member of Parliament and former Sri Lankan Ambassador in Iran M.M. Zuhair PC, Ambassador for Palestine in Sri Lanka Zuhair M.H. Zaid, Former Member of the Parliament Bimal Rathnayake, Kollupitiya Masjid Federation President Rizan Hussain, Media Personnel and a large number of people were present.
Children of various communities performed various programmes at this ceremony to highlight history and the present plight of Palestinians
