COLOMBO – Maligawatte Grand Jumma Masjid Hosts Annual Flag Hoisting Ceremony and 11-Day Mowlid Majlis
The Maligawatte Grand Jumma Masjid ceremoniously commenced its annual Flag Hoisting Ceremony and 11-day Mowlid Majlis on the *25th of Thursday September in memory of *Kuthbul Akthab Gawsul Ahlam Muhiyadeen Abdul Qadhiri Jeelani (Rali) ” The event witnessed a large and respectful gathering of both men and women.
The hoisting ceremony was held under the leadership of Al Haj A.H.M. Iqbal, General Secretary and Vice President of the Masjid, alongside Al Haj Nusrath Ramiz, Treasurer of Raulathu Shazuli and Board of Management Member of Maligawatte Grand Jumma Masjid. * Umair Nawshad, also a Board Member, actively participated in the proceedings.
The guest speaker for the event was Moulavi S.M.M. Thalha Baari, who delivered an enlightening Bayan and led a special Du’a.
