

COLOMBO : The Young Women’s Muslim Association Sri Lanka, YWMA SL headed by Fawaza Thaha reached out to Elders’s Home in Grandpass after identifying the need to provide care and facilities for senior citizens who live below the poverty line on Sunday, Oct.22
A home for neglected senior citizens both male and female among those were bedridden mothers as well. A team of voluntary staff who has committed to serve these elderly people was a plight to have witnessed by the YWMA members.
YWMASL provided a delicious lunch for all the individuals in the home and also distributed a basic need pack with Cleansing needs (Soap with soapcase,Shampoos, Detergent, Comb, Toothpaste and tooth brsuhes), Plates,Water bottle,Lunch box, Medicine carrier,Slippers, OTC medicines such as Balm, Panadol cards, Towels, Pillow case and a bedsheet along with a Mosquito Net. These items were handed over to every individual in the Eilders Home and in return they were filled with happiness which touched their hearts.
The President Fawaza Thaha and the Members tugged every heart emotionally by spreading their love and care for those neglected parents in the Elders Home.
