COLOMBO : Parliamentarian Rauff Hakeem was unanimously re-elected as the lesader of the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress ,on Saturday, June 22 , at its 31st Nationel Delegates Conference , held at Hizbullah Cultural Hall,Kattankudy,with the participation of over1500 delegates who had come from all the districts of the Island.
At the inaugral session in the morning re-elected leader Hakeem also read out the names of 33 office bearers who were elected on the previous day(21) evening in the Mandatory High Command meeting held in Eravur.
Accordingly, Nizam Kariapper PC,has been re-elected as the Secretary while seven Deputy leaders including former Governor of the Eastern Province M.L.A.M .Hisbullah and Ali Zahir Moulana MP.Abdul Majeed and Rahmath Munsoor were elected as Chairman and Treasurer respectively. Names of the 33 Office bearers were announced.
Leader Rauff Hakeem MP, delivered the Keynote address at the 2 nd session, in the evening.
Mandatory High Command meeting was held prior to the delegates conference on friday(21), evening at Eravur.
