Sri Lanka news
The match belonged to Sri Lanka from the moment their bowlers found their rhythm.
After electing to field first, the Lankan attack ripped through Pakistan’s batting line-up, exposing the hosts’ struggles against disciplined pace and relentless pressure. Pakistan never recovered from the early setbacks, losing wickets at regular intervals as Sri Lanka tightened their grip on the contest.
While Babar Azam attempted to steady the innings with 29 runs, no Pakistani batter was able to build a meaningful partnership. Once Babar departed, the collapse accelerated, with the home side crashing from 61 for 4 to eventually be dismissed for just 110 in 25.3 overs.
