COLOMBO : The Saudi Arabian government is committed to offering exceptional services and privileges to assist pilgrims visiting the two holy sites each year. In line with this commitment, the Seasonal Medical Center of Prince Sultan Armed Forces Hospital in Madinah continues to deliver medical and emergency services to both pilgrims and citizens at the prophet’s mosque. The center recently disclosed statistics outlining the number of beneficiaries of its services up until last Saturday. A total of 12,159 patients, comprising 4,906 women and 7,253 men, received urgent medical attention. Additionally, 37 patients were referred to hospitals affiliated with the Ministry of Health in the country.
The center comprises eight triage sites and six primary clinics dedicated to providing medical and emergency services to visitors of the Prophet’s Mosque. It is equipped with a resuscitation bed, five emergency beds, and two mobile medical clinic vans, each with six observation beds, with the capacity to expand to eight clinics. Additionally, it accommodates eighteen emergency observation beds. Significantly, the entity operates across multiple divisions, encompassing a fracture treatment center, a nutritional therapy center, a laboratory, and a drug distribution center.
