“Democracy and National Unity Day ” was observed by Turkiye embassy in Colombo

COLOMBO – “Democracy and National Unity Day” was observed on July 15th, 15th, by the Turkiye embassy in Colombo to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the failed military coup in Turkey on July 15th, 2016.
At the invitation of the Turkish Ambassador to Colombo, Semih Lutfu Turgut, a group of 50 top-ranked students from the Hameedd Al Husseini National College, Colombo,and their Principal M.R.M. Riski, and their English teachers took part in the celebrations ,
In a brief talk, the Turkiye ambassador gave a graphic account of the significance of the day and events related to the failed military coup.
