COLOMBO : On the auspicious occasion of the 103rd anniversary of the establishment of the Republic of Türkiye, I have immense pleasure in conveying my warmest felicitations and sincere greetings to His Excellency Semih Lütfü Turgut, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Sri Lanka & Maldives, the Government, and the friendly people of Türkiye.
As Türkiye celebrates this historic milestone, we honourthe vision of its founder, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, and the enduring spirit of independence and resilience of the Turkish nation and people. We also take immense pride in the strong and expanding ties of political, economic and cultural cooperation shared between Sri Lanka and Türkiye, as indeed the ever-growing people to people exchanges.
I am confident that the relations between Sri Lanka and Türkiye will be enhanced and further consolidated for the mutual benefit of the people of the two nations in the years ahead. I take this opportunity to extend my sincere best wishes for the sustained progress, peace, and prosperity of the people of Türkiye.
