

COLOMBO : In the spirit of compassion and generosity that defines the holy month of Ramadan, iCharity and ALMA – Australia, in collaboration with the All Ceylon YMMA Conference, successfully carried out a Dry Ration Pack distribution program for the most vulnerable communities across the country.
The initiative aimed to support underprivileged families facing economic hardship, ensuring they are able to observe the holy month with dignity and ease. Essential food items were distributed to carefully identified beneficiaries, bringing much-needed relief during this sacred period. A total number of iCharity 267 and ALMA 180 packs were distributed in selected villages to the needy.
Representatives of the organizing bodies emphasized that such humanitarian efforts reflect the true values of Ramadan—empathy, sharing and community solidarity. They also extended their sincere gratitude to all donors and well-wishers whose generous contributions made this initiative possible.
The organizers reaffirmed their commitment to continuing similar welfare programs in the future, uplifting those in need and strengthening community bonds across Sri Lanka.
