RUZAiK FAROOK
“A school is much more than a place of learning. It is a second home, a community, and a foundation upon which countless lives are built. With immense pride and heartfelt joy, I wish Muslim Ladies College a very Happy 80th Birthday!
As the College celebrates eight remarkable decades of history, achievement, and service, I wish to extend my sincere appreciation to the present Principal, teachers, non-academic staff, students, and families, both past and present. A special word of appreciation goes to the Past Pupils’ Association (PPA) of MLC, whose continued commitment and contribution have helped make this institution so special.
May the years ahead be equally bright, inspiring, and filled with even greater achievements.
Education today is vastly different from what many parents experienced during their school days. Technology has become an integral part of learning, information travels instantaneously, and global developments increasingly influence classrooms across cultures and countries. These interconnected challenges of 21st-century education shape how children learn, how teachers teach, and how schools prepare young people for the future.
Understanding these global changes is essential if we are to equip our children to face tomorrow with confidence. Being an educator today requires more than imparting knowledge. It calls for compassion, adaptability, vision, and purpose, while maintaining a delicate balance between academic excellence, emotional well-being, and the realities of a rapidly changing world.
Above all, a happy child is a better learner. When children feel safe, valued, encouraged, and emotionally secure, stress diminishes and natural curiosity flourishes. A positive and joyful learning environment nurtures creativity, strengthens confidence, and promotes meaningful learning and academic growth.
There is one thought I would particularly like to share with every teacher:
The ultimate achievement of a teacher is when a child does not merely say, “MY TEACHER,” but says it with love, respect, and a deep sense of belonging.
A teacher’s influence should go far beyond the classroom. A true teacher must travel into the heart of every child, leaving behind not merely lessons and information, but lasting values, inspiration, confidence, and beautiful memories. That, to me, is the real essence of education.
As a former Principal, I am immensely proud to hear that Muslim Ladies College is rapidly progressing towards greater success while embracing timely changes and new educational opportunities. It is encouraging to see the College moving forward by blending its rich traditions and academic foundations with adaptability, digital literacy, modern skills, and the competencies required for the future workforce.
As a former Principal and a devoted well-wisher of the College, I wish Muslim Ladies College continued success, greater heights of achievement, and many more decades of excellence.
May Almighty Allah bless and strengthen the present Principal, the dedicated teachers and staff, the School Development Committee (SDC), and the Past Pupils’ Association (PPA), granting them the wisdom, strength, and commitment to lead this prestigious institution towards an even brighter future.
Once again, HAPPY 80TH BIRTHDAY, MUSLIM LADIES COLLEGE!
May your legacy continue to inspire generations of young women, and may your light shine brightly for many decades to come. .”
