PUTTALAM : Puttalam Vettalai Assenkudhoos Muslim Maha Vidyalaya’s under-16 football team made history by becoming the All-Island champions in the national football tournament.
The final match of the All-Island Schools Football Tournament was held on the 14th of this month in Anuradhapura. In the under-16 final, Jaffna Viyavilaan Central College and Puttalam Vettalai Assenkudhoos Muslim Maha Vidyalaya teams faced off. The Puttalam Asankuthu team emerged victorious, winning 2:1, and claimed the championship title.
On behalf of the school administration, the school’s Principal, Mr. A.J.M. Ilham, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Almighty for this success and extended his sincere thanks to all those who supported this victory.
