

COLOMBO : Based on the humanitarian efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to alleviate the suffering of the lower income people and afflicted communities around the world, and under the generous directives of the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, King of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and HRH Prince / Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is implementing a voluntary project to combat the blindness in number of cities in the Republic of Sri Lanka, during the period from 07th to 16th September 2023.
The project includes diagnosing thousands of cases, providing them with medical services, sorting out cases that need surgical intervention, treatment, medications, cataract removal, operations such as nail removal, treatment of tear duct obstruction, provision of patients’ needs of medicines, spectacles and lenses, alleviating the suffering of many blind people, and conducting health awareness for those who receive treatment.
