COLOMBO: The Federation of Media Employees Trade Union conducted a protest march from the Fort Railway Station to Gota go home Galle Face site on Wednesday, April 20.
More than 100 journalists from the electronic, social and print media participated in the procession. They said Sri Lanka media had faced the worst time during the rule of Gotabaya Rajapaksa where they were subject to all sorts of harassments and embarrassments and some were killed during his period.
Senior journalists such as Hana Ibrahim and M A M Nilam also addressed the media on behalf of the protestors.
