Riyadh, September 22, 2026, SPA — Under the slogan “Pride and Unity,” the Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA) is preparing to celebrate Saudi National Day on Wednesday with a series of events at several locations across Diriyah.
Bringing together military displays and historical and cultural activities, the celebrations reflect the occasion’s deep sense of national pride, connection to the nation’s history, and cohesion among its people.
The Saudi National Day program will include a military parade heading toward Wadi Hanifah via Al Imam Abdulaziz bin Muhammad ibn Saud Road, organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior. The event will be open to residents and visitors along the parade route and will feature equestrian displays, with security personnel present.
The parade route carries particular historical significance, passing several historic sites before reaching Wadi Hanifah, which is closely associated with the founding and settlement of Diriyah. It also follows Al Imam Abdulaziz bin Muhammad ibn Saud Road, named after a leader of the First Saudi State, bringing together landmarks and names from Diriyah’s history with the celebrations of Saudi National Day.
DGDA’s Saudi National Day celebrations reflect the authority’s role in preserving and highlighting Diriyah’s historical and cultural heritage and strengthening the community’s connection to it.
