COLOMBO : The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is in close contact with all the Sri Lankan diplomatic missons in the Middle Eastern region and have been and will continue to moniter the development, a statement from the Sri Lanka briefing ministry in Colombo said here following the Israel-Iran tension in the Middle East on Saturday, Feb.28
The Sri Lankan missions have set up emergency hotlines enableing the people to contact the mission and remain in touch in case of any emergency requirments. So far there has not been much impact on the Sri Lankans in the Middle Eastern region at the moment. The head of the missions are in touch with the Foreign Ministry. An emergency hotline will be set up soon.
