COLOMBO – Cinnamon Grand Colombo invites food lovers to embark on a rich culinary journey to the North with The Jaffna Table, a special Jaffna Food Promotion at Nuga Gama, celebrating the bold, distinctive and time honoured flavours of Jaffna cuisine. A pre launch for the Chefs’ Jaffna Table was held on 20th January 2026, for invited guests and members of the media at Nuga Gama, Cinnamon Grand Colombo. The Jaffna Table will give diners the opportunity of experiencing authentic Jaffna inspired flavours, which celebrates the rich culinary heritage of the North.

Present at the exclusive Meet & Greet were the four judges of Master Chef Sri Lanka; celebrated Sri Lankan Australian Chef ,Peter Kuruvita, Savindri Perera, Rohan Fernandopulle and Cinnamon Grand’s very own Chef Kapila Jayasinghe, bringing together some of the country’s finest culinary talent.
Curated to showcase the essence of Northern Sri Lankan gastronomy, The Jaffna Table features an array of authentic dishes prepared using traditional cooking techniques, aromatic spices and unique local ingredients that define Jaffna’s vibrant food culture. Highlights include a special Jaffna dosai counter served with traditional condiments, Odial Kool the iconic Jaffna seafood soup, Eraichi Pirattal, a robust Jaffna style mutton curry, and Nandu Curry, a richly spiced Jaffna style sea crab curry. From deeply spiced curries to flavourful accompaniments, each dish tells a story of heritage, resilience and culinary pride. The experience is completed with a selection of Jaffna special desserts, including Palmyrah Kavum, Seeni Murukku, and traditional Payasam.
Set against the rustic village charm of Nuga Gama, this exclusive promotion offers guests an immersive cultural dining experience, bringing together authentic flavours, warm hospitality and the nostalgic ambience that Nuga Gama is renowned for.

The Jaffna Table will be available as a dinner buffet from 23rd to 30th January 2026, between 7.00 pm and 10.30 pm, priced at LKR 7,500 nett per person at Nuga Gama, Cinnamon Grand Colombo.
