COLOMBO — Zahira College hosted its Sponsor Recognition and Jersey Revealing Ceremony for the 2026 rugby season at the College’s Ghaffoor Hall on Tuesday, April 7.
Principal Trizviiy Marikkar addressed the gathering, reflecting on the proud legacy of Zahira Rugby and expressing gratitude to the sponsors for their continued support ahead of the new season.
Zahira Rugby is proud to strengthen its journey into the 2026 season by welcoming a distinguished group of partners: RIDE, Diamond Milk, Roza Pasta, ATG Gloves, Bairaha, TVS Lanka, Dialog, SUN FM, Hemas Hospitals, American Premium Water, Frosty, L B Finance, and the Zahira College OBA UAE (Batch of 2008).
These valued organizations join us not just as sponsors, but as committed partners dedicated to driving the continued growth, excellence, and success of Zahira Rugby.
On the field, the team will be captained by Hakeem Chunchie and coached by Radhika Hettiarachchi, a former Sri Lankan national player with a strong record as a championship-winning coach.

Several key officials were also in attendance, including Chairman Rugby Committee Aufer Johar, Secretary Rishard Thahir, Manager Shiraz Razak, Board of Governors Secretary Nuzri Munsoor, OBA President Hazik Jaleel, and Rugby Master-in-Charge R. I. Sooriyaarachchi.
