COLOMBO— Darussalaam College held its first-ever Grade-1 Kids’ Talent Show in English Monday, July 28, at the school auditorium, offering a joyful platform for young learners to showcase their budding talents.
Principal Ahamed Nibras opened the event, stressing the value of such shows in building students’ confidence and engaging parents in their children’s growth. Chief Guest A.H.M. Maheer, Chairman, Zeenath Trading (Pvt) Ltd., praised the initiative and encouraged parents to play an active role in nurturing language skills and positive behavior at home.
The children charmed the audience with songs, dances, and heartfelt speeches about their families, school, friends, and Sri Lanka. Their energy and enthusiasm reflected the success of early language development efforts.
Notably, Maligawatte Jumma Masjid has been instrumental in supporting English education at the college, sponsoring English teachers for Grade 1 as part of its commitment to community development.
The event was a delightful celebration of expression, learning, and partnership between the school, parents, and the wider community.
