COLOMBO ; Khalid Farouk, former National President and current Patron of the All Ceylon YMMA Conference , met with Maged Mosleh, the Ambassador of Egypt at the mission in Colombo.
Fruitful discussions between them centered around renewing the existing long relationship with Egypt, and also promoting it as a historical tourist destination.
Plans were also discussed to commemorate the 140 years of the arrival of Orabi Pasha, Egyptian freedom fighter, who was exiled by the British.
It was also planned to infuse new programmes to activate the Orabi Pasha Cultural Centre, which is located in Kandy.
