COLOMBO ; Sri Lankan racing sensation Yevan David delivered a standout performance at the eighth round of the 2026 FIA Formula 3 Championship in Monza, Italy, securing back-to-back fourth-place finishes.
The 19-year-old produced one of his strongest weekends of the season, showcasing impressive pace and racecraft at the iconic Monza circuit.
In Saturday’s Sprint Race, David charged through the field, overtaking 13 drivers to climb from 17th on the grid to an impressive fourth-place finish.
He carried that momentum into Sunday’s Feature Race, once again crossing the line in fourth to complete a remarkable double top-four finish.
The Monza weekend marks another major milestone in David’s debut FIA Formula 3 campaign.
Earlier this year, he made history by becoming the first Sri Lankan driver to compete in FIA Formula 3, earning his place in the championship after finishing runner-up in the 2025 Euroformula Open Championship.
His back-to-back fourth-place finishes at Monza mark his strongest overall weekend of the season so far, underlining his rapid progress and growing ability to compete at the front of the field.
And David will have little time to rest, with the FIA Formula 3 Championship heading to Madrid, Spain, this weekend for the final round of the season.
