COLOMBO — Western Province Governor Haniff Yusuf will inaugurate the 26th Asia-Pacific Secretaries Congress ,ASA Congress, which will be held from April 25th to 29th at the Cinnamon Grand Colombo, hosted by the Sri Lanka Association of Administrative and Professional Secretaries (SLAAPS).
A press conference was held regarding the conference at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel, Colombo on Monday April 20.
Returning to Sri Lanka after a quarter century, this landmark event brings together administrative professionals, corporate leaders and entrepreneurs from across the Asia-Pacific region under the powerful theme: “Empowering Diversity Beyond Borders.” The Congress celebrates career evolution, leadership and the remarkable journeys of individuals who began as secretaries and now lead as business pioneers and executives.
Founded in 1974, the Association of Secretaries and Administrative Professionals in Asia-Pacific (ASA) unites national associations to promote excellence and cross-cultural collaboration. As one of ASA’s members, SLAAPS has been instrumental in advancing the profession through training, advocacy and leadership development.
“This Congress is a celebration of transformation, growth and unity,” said Azra Reyaldeen, President of SLAAPS and ASA. “We’re honored to host the region in Sri Lanka and provide a platform that inspires, educates and connects.”
The Governor of the Western Province Hanif Yoosuf will be the chief guest at the opening ceremony on 25th April.
The event will feature keynote sessions, leadership forums, skills development workshops, cultural events and excursions offering delegates an enriching blend of professional growth and Sri Lankan hospitality.
