Sri Lanka is one of the few countries where VAT is being charged on the Financial Services. VAT on Financial Services was introduced in the year 2003 to the Sri Lanka tax system. Over the years there have been many changes to the law pertaining to VAT on Financial Services.
This webinar will provide technical knowledge with regard to the chargeability to VAT on Financial Services, computation methods, items liable to VAT on Financial Services, payments and Returns and details pertaining to certain decided cases.
The session will be conducted by Mr. Suresh Perera – Principal, Ms. Radhini Thomas – Associate Director and Mr Abdul Halwan –Manager, Tax and Regulatory at KPMG Sri Lanka.
