The depression over Gulf of Mannar sea area is wekened into a low pressure area and remained stationary, located about 145 km to the West of Mannar. It is kilely to weaken further. Hence the influence of this system to the island is expected to be gradually reduced.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Northern and North-western provinces and in Anuradhapura and Trincomalee districts. Fairly heavy rainfalls about 75 mm can be expected at some places.
Showers can be expected at several places in Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces and in Galle and Matara districts.
Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places elsewhere after 2.00p.m.
