COLOMBO : A protest against the Government’s budget proposals was held on Friday at Lipton circle which was organized by the United National Part, UNP. A large crowd from Colombo District participated and deputy mayor of Colombo, M T M Iqbal former minister Sagala Ratnayake were also present.
The protests said that no tangible concessions have been given to ease the problems of the common man in the new budget presented by Finance Minister Basil Rajapaksa on Friday, November 12.
