COLOMBO : In continuation of the UAE’s efforts to provide a helping hand to all brotherly and friendly countries, UAE Aid has come forward to assist the people of Sri Lanka who have been greatly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and the recent floods.
The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Colombo distributed several hundreds of packs of dry rations, sponsored by the Dar Al Ber Society in UAE, to families in the flood affected areas in the Colombo and Kalutara districts.
The distributions were carried out in coordination with Sarath Weerasekara, Minister of National Security and Rohitha Abeygunawardene, Minister of Ports and Shipping in the Kolonnawa and Kalutara areas respectively
