KANDY: Khalid Al Ameri, Ambassador of UAE together with Saif Yousif Al Naqbi, Consulate General of UAE visited the Harmony Centre at Katukelle Jumma Masjid Wednesday ,14th September and at the invitation of Afzal Marikkar, President of Katukelle Jumma Masjid.
The envoy was impressed with the Harmony Centre initiative and briefed the audience on the initiatives taken in UAE to foster peace and harmony amongst the large number of various nationalities and communities living in UAE.
The key stakeholders in Kandy city including presidents of Kandy District Jammiathul Ulama, Kandy Distrct Masjid Federation, Kandy Muslim Traders Association, together with board members of Katukelle Jumma Masjid were present to welcome the new ambassador on his first visit to Kandy.
