COLOMBO : As the blessed month of Ramadan comes to an end, I extend my warmest greetings and heartfelt wishes to the Muslim community in Sri Lanka and to all Sri Lankans celebrating this joyous occasion of Eid al-Fitr.
Muslims have been an integral part of Sri Lanka’s rich social and cultural fabric for centuries, contributing significantly to the nation’s heritage, diversity, and progress. They also represent one of the strongest bridges of friendship between Türkiye and Sri Lanka, fostering enduring people-to-people ties and deepening the historical connections between our two nations.
Türkiye and Sri Lanka share a long-standing relationship rooted in mutual respect and friendship. On this special occasion, I wish to reaffirm Türkiye’s commitment to further strengthening these ties and fostering greater understanding and cooperation between our peoples.
May this Eid bring peace, happiness, and prosperity to every home in Sri Lanka. May it inspire hope and solidarity, and may the spirit of Eid continue to guide us toward a more harmonious and compassionate world.
