COLOMBO : Island-wide train services will resume from Friday October 15, according to the General Manager of Sri Lanka Railways Dhammika Jayasundara.
He made this announcement when he visited the Hatton Railway Station on Thursday, October,7
Jayasundara further said that his department was ready to resume services on October 1 but due to the health guidance offered by the ministry of health, it has to fix a date after two weeks subject the approval of ministry of transport.
A total of 108 trains will be deployed which would operate express, official and local services to all destinations.
