COLOMBO: The three truant members of the All Ceylon Makkal Congress (ACMC) who flouted the party regulations and voted for the 2022 national budget appeared before a disciplinary inquiry at the headquarters of the party on May 23,Monday, in Colombo.
The trio was present with their respective lawyers and the charge sheet was read out to them by the high political command of the party.
At rthe equest of the three members asking for time to defend their actions, the inquiring committee gave the three charge sheeted members to come for the next inquiry on May 31.
The ACMC is headed by former minister and present parliamentarian Rishad Bathiudeen.
