COLOMBO : Those who flay the government while remaining within its fold can quit, go outside and continue their tirade against present regime, Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa
“The door is always open for them to go”, the premier told The Sunday Island, when asked about the criticism leveled against the government by some of those within it.
Anybody has the democratic right to criticize the government. However, if those within its fold want to flay the very regime they are part of, they are free to quit and do it to their heart’s content, he noted.
“If they want to become popular by censuring the government, they can take whatever decision they like without flaying the government while remaining within its fold”, Rajapaksa stressed.
On the Easter Sunday terror attacks, he assured that any person found responsible will be dealt with under the law.(Sunday Island)
