COLOMBO — The Slave Island Premier League (SLPL) organize AROPEC Challenge Trophy 2024 softball day and night cricket tournament will be held on 14th and 15th December and 20th, 21st and 22nd December with 48 teams participating at Hyde Park, Colombo 2.
The draw for the tourney and T-shirt launching ceremony was held at the Nawaloka Hospital Auditorium, Colombo on Tuesday December 3.
Colombo District Member of Parliament Mujeebur Rahuman, former Deputy Mayor of Colombo M.T.M. Iqbal, Former Provincial Councilor Arshad Nizamdeen were also present.
The winning team will be presented with a cash prize of Rs. 200,000 while the runners-up will get Rs. 100,000.
Trophies will also be presented to the Champions, Runners-up, man of the series, man of the final, best batsman, best bowler, best fielder and the best wicket-keeper.
The main sponsor will be Global Sports Innovation with Orient Lanka and Prestige Lanka as the co-sponsors.
The tournament is organized by former MMC M.I.M. Anas, SLPL President K. Suranka, Secretary Mohamed Nasar and other members were also present.
