This donation is the second stage of assistance from donations collected at the Bazaar event held at the end of September 2023 at the Indonesian Embassy in Colombo, organized in collaboration between the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Sri Lanka and the Sri Lanka – Indonesia Friendship Association (SLIFA).
The donations are as follows:
- Distribution of school books to students od K/Kirinda Model School in the Hambatota District, K/Hindu College, and K/Al Amina in the Gampola district.
- Donation of sewing machines and three filling cabinets to Hemachandra Gunasekara Maha Vidyalaya in Weligama.
- Renovating and Repairing the washrooms at Ariyawansa Maha Vidyalaya in Beruwela in Kalatura District.
- Constructing two roof wells for KM/Al Jalal Vudyalaya and KM/ M,s, Kariappper Vidyalaya in Sainthamathurai, Kalmunai, Baticalua District.
It is hoped that this donations can provide real benefits for students and help them realize their dreams and aspirations. The Indonesian Embassy and SLIFA would like to express their thanks and appreciation to all parties who have supported and facilitated the delivery of this assistance.
