COLOMBO — Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation (SLBC) Tamil Service celebrated Thai Pongal Festival Sunday January 15 at the SLBC premises. It was held under the patronage of Chairman of the Hudson Samarasinghe.Kotehena Valampuri Vinayakar Kovil S. Ramachandran Kurukkal conducted the poojai and Artist Visharadha Ratnam Ratnadurai played the drums.
South Eastern University Department of Languages Professor Dr. K. Raguparan, SLBC Member of the Board of Directors J. Yogarajan. SLBC Advisor Visharadha A. Mahendran, Tamil and Thendral Service Controller A.M. Thaj , Sinhala , Tamil and Muslim Service Officials and staff with students and teachers of the Hambantota, Walasmulla Radaniyara Maha Vidyalaya were also present.
