

COLOMBO – The Darussalaam College ICT Society successfully hosted the inaugural TechQuest Junior 2025 Inter-School ICT Competition on 15 September 2025, marking a historic milestone for young technology enthusiasts. The event was organized under the guidance of Principal Mr. M. M. Ahamed Nibras and received full sponsorship from the Serendib Educational Foundation (SEF).
A total of ten schools participated in the competition, showcasing their students’ creativity and innovation in ICT. Among the participants were Al Hakeem Vidyalaya, Al Hidaya College, T. B. Jayah College, Bright International School, Khairiya Girls’ College, Zahira College Colombo, Maryam Girls’ College, Sir Razick Fareed Muslim Ladies’ College, Hamza College, and Hameed Al Husseinie National College.
The award ceremony was held on Thursday September 25 at the Darussalaam College Auditorium. The ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Mrs. Chamali Edirisinghe, Deputy Director of Education (School Administration), and Guest of Honor Mr. Shahnawaz Othman, Secretary of SEF.
Also present were distinguished guests Mr. Riza Ismail, Reza Aludeen, Ruzaik Farook, M. Riyas, and O. M. Firaz, along with principals and teacher-in-charges of the participating schools. Their presence highlighted the importance of fostering ICT education and encouraging students to embrace technology-driven learning.
The initiative, powered by SEF’s generous sponsorship, not only provided a platform for students to demonstrate their ICT skills but also reinforced Darussalaam College’s commitment to academic innovation and inter-school collaboration.
