
DUBAI : The ICC T20 Men’s world cup ended few hours ago with Australia winning its maiden T20 World Cup Trophy. There were awards and recognitions given away at the award ceremony.

The tournaments statistics saw Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga top the highest number of wicket taken in the tournament (16 wickets). Sri Lanka bowed out of the world cup in the Super 12s round. Australian Adam Zampa has the second highest number of wickets with 13 wickets. Adam Zampa has the best bowling figures in the tournament with 5 for 19 runs. Pakistan skipper Babar Azam had the most runs in the tournament with 303 runs, closely followed by David Warner with 289 runs. England’s Jos Buttler has the record for the highest run score in an innings (101*) and the best batting average of 89.66.
Australia ends the tournament as clear winners, with the most wins (6) in the tournament and best winning percentage of 85.714. (RZ)
