

COLOMBO : The Young Women’s Muslim Association (YWMA) took a compassionate step forward by supporting families affected by the recent floods. In times of crisis, even small acts of kindness become a lifeline — and this initiative truly reflects the power of community.
With generous sponsorship from the High Commission of Malaysia in Colombo, Sri Lanka, YWMA distributed essential cleaning utensils to households in the Polwatta–Keerakotuwa area

Wife of the Malaysian high commissioner Madam Zalinah Yousuf ,her secretary Ms Nur Azida Omar Mrs.Fawaza Thaha (President YWMA), Mrs.Khaneez Malik (Treasurer YWMA) and other members of YWMA joined the distribution.
Many families lost access to basic daily tools due to the flooding, making these items crucial for restoring hygiene, dignity, and stability.
