NEGOMBO : The report of the Presidential Commission on the Easter Attack has been submitted to the Attorney General. The Attorney General is studying the matter and taking legal action. A three-judge panel has been appointed to continue hearing the case. “ Therefore, we hope that the Attorney General, the government will do justice to the victims of the Easter attack”, said Nimal Lansa, State Minister for Rural Roads and Other Infrastructure.
State Minister, Nimal Lansa expressed these views while answering questions raised by journalists while participating in a program to obtain proposals for the budget held at the Negombo Municipal Council on October 3.
State Minister, Nimal Lansa furthersaid “ The present government is always working to punish the Easter attackers. There is a real need for that. I always stand for that in Parliament as well.
With the implementation of vaccinations and health guidelines, we have largely controlled the Covid pandemic and opened up the country. Over the next four years, we will move towards the goals of accelerating the economic growth of the country, uplifting the lives of the people and strengthening the economy of the people.
Democratically, parties have the right to express their views. There are various parties in a government. Finally, the President, the Prime Minister and the Cabinet make the decision. Therefore, although there are various opinions, steps will be taken to resolve them through dialogues.
We hope that after discussions on all matters including the Kelawarapitiya Power Plant, Trincomalee Oil Tanks, a decision will be reached and decisions will be implemented that are more important to the country. There are different opinions. We discuss and come to an idea that is important to the country. State Minister, Nimal Lansa further stated that this is the democratic feature of a party.
