
COLOMBO : As part of its community outreach initiatives, the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Riyadh successfully conducted a Free Medical Camp in collaboration with Taif Polyclinic on 26 December 2025, for the benefit of members of the Sri Lankan community in Riyadh.
The medical camp was organized by the Embassy of Sri Lanka with the generous support of the management and medical staff of Taif Polyclinic, with a view to promoting the welfare of the Sri Lankan community by providing free medical consultations and basic healthcare services to Sri Lankan nationals in need.
Launching the Free Medical Camp, the Ambassador of Sri Lanka, Ameer Ajwad, emphasized that healthcare is one of the basic needs of human beings and that no one should be left behind without access to healthcare. He further noted that this objective formed the core purpose of organizing the Free Medical Camp.
The Ambassador also commended the management of the Taif Medical Group, headed by Ibrahim Ahamed, Founder and CEO of the Group, and coordinated by Dr. Santhosh, for demonstrating their sense of social responsibility and goodwill towards the Sri Lankan expatriate community in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Ambassador Ameer Ajwad also presented special discount cards for medical consultations and other healthcare services, offered by the Taif Medical Group, to members of the Sri Lankan community who participated in the medical camp.
Sri Lankan expatriates from all walks of life benefited from the medical camp.
Mr. Ibrahim Ahamed, Founder and CEO of the Taif Medical Group, Dr. Santhosh, Director and Insurance manager as well as officials from the Embassy of Sri Lanka were present at the event.
