A Sri Lankan delegation is scheduled to leave for Russia on June 25 to discuss the trafficking of retired Sri Lankan military personnel.
The delegation will include State Minister of Foreign Affairs Tharaka Balasuriya, Defense Secretary General (Rtd) Kamal Gunaratne and Former Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Russia Saman Weerasinghe.
The Ministry of Defence said that 486 complaints have been lodged so far regarding the trafficking of retired Sri Lanka military personnel for the Russia-Ukraine war.
