



KUALA LUMPUR : As part of its ongoing efforts in promoting cultural diplomacy, the High Commission of Sri Lanka in Kuala Lumpur is pleased to announce the successful implementation of its Annual Wesak Dansala Programme, held across several prominent Buddhist temples in Malaysia.
This year, the Dansala was organized at the following locations:
Brickfields Maha Vihara – Sago Dansala,Sri Lanka Buddhist Temple, Sentul – Chickpeas (Kadala) DansalaUniversal Spiritual Center, Rawang – Chickpeas (Kadala) Dansala
The staff of the High Commission arranged the Dansalas serving free food to more than 1,000 visitors. Among them were Buddhist devotees, members of various religious communities, and individuals from Malaysia’s richly diverse ethnic backgrounds.
The Wesak Dansala, a traditional Sri Lankan act of giving, reflects the values of compassion, generosity, and unity. Through this meaningful gesture, the High Commission fostered goodwill and cultural harmony, strengthening bonds between Sri Lanka and the multicultural society of Malaysia.
This initiative stands as a testament to Sri Lanka’s enduring spirit of inclusivity and the High Commission’s dedication to promoting peace, mutual understanding, and friendship through cultural engagement.
