COLOMBO- The Colombo Grand Mosque has announced that a new moon for the month of Hajj was not sighted on Saturday,evening on July 10. Eid-ul-Adha Festival will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 21.
Representatives of Muslim Religious and Cultural Affairs Department, All Ceylon Jamiyathul Ulama and Colombo Grand Mosque were present at the conference, which decided on the date of the festival. The meeting wqs chaired by the Vice Chairman of the Hilal Committee of the Colombo Grand Mosque, Sheikh A.L.M.Rila Maqdoomi.
