COLOMBO : Sri LCricket (SLC) will celebrate the country’s cricketing excellence by hosting the
Annual Sri Lanka Cricket Awards 2025 on 6 August 2026 in Colombo, honoring Sri Lanka’s
finest male and female cricketers for their outstanding performances during the 2025 season.
The prestigious awards ceremony to be held in Colombo will recognize 42 outstanding
performers from both international and first-class cricket for their excellence during the 2025
season.
The highlight of the evening will be the presentation of the coveted Men’s Cricketer of the Year
and Women’s Cricketer of the Year awards, the highest honours of the night.
Other major international awards to be presented include Best Batter, Best Bowler, Best All-
Rounder, Men’s Emerging Player of the Year, and Women’s Emerging Player of the Year,
recognising outstanding performances across all formats of international cricket.
“We are delighted to stage the annual Sri Lanka Cricket Awards 2025, which serve as a fitting
tribute to the exceptional performances of our players during the 2025 season,” said Ashley
De Silva, Chief Executive Officer of Sri Lanka Cricket.
First-Class Cricket Honours
The awards ceremony will also recognize outstanding performances in First-Class cricket, with
awards for Best Batter, Best Bowler, Best All-Rounder, and Most Valuable Player (MVP).
In addition, the champion teams of the Major Club Three-Day Tournament, Major Club Men’s
50-Over Tournament, Major Club Women’s 50-Over Tournament, and the Major Club T20
Tournament will be felicitated during the ceremony.
Life Time Awards
Four Lifetime Achievement Awards will also be presented during the awards night, honouring
two cricketing greats and two media personalities who have rendered yeoman service to the
game through their outstanding contributions through their respective professions.
Umpire of the Year
As part of the celebrations, Sri Lanka Cricket will also present the Umpire of the Year award,
recognizing excellence in officiating and the invaluable contribution made by match officials
to the game.
The glittering awards ceremony will bring together many of Sri Lanka’s most celebrated
cricketers, administrators, match officials, and distinguished guests for a memorable evening
dedicated to recognizing the outstanding achievements that shaped Sri Lankan cricket during
the 2025 season.

joined the event as the Title Sponsor, securing the event’s naming rights.
Accordingly, the event will be known as the “Dialog Sri Lanka Cricket Awards 2025.”
