MELBOURNE – The Sri Lankan Community celebrated Eid ul Fitr in Melbourne .
Islamic Community and Support Association organised this year breakfast with the traditional Lankans menu .
More than 400 guests attended the event which was funded by the Victorian Government Multicultural Festival and Events Program.
Community members who attended the breakfast appreciated and thanked the organisers for serving the most delicious Sri Lankan foods with Lolly bags for the children. Amongst the guests who were present was the former Minister and Member of Parliament in Srilanka Mr M H A Haleem, and two past Presidents of the All Ceylon YMMA Conference M/s. Jiffry Hanifa, Iflal Abdulla and some senior citizens . Rizwan on behalf of the ICASA expressed sincere thanks to the Victorian Government for the grant, and to the members who worked tirelessly for the success of this event.
