COLOMBO :A solemn ceremony was held on May 23rd in Doha, Qatar, to commemorate the revered late leader Marhoom Kamardeen Abdul Baiz.
Individuals from various walks of life gathered to remember his enduring legacy on the occasion of his second remembrance anniversary.
The event, which unveiled the book “Son of Puttalam,” served as a poignant tribute to the profound impact this visionary leader had on the lives of numerous individuals.
The book launch was accompanied by a review from media personality Bishrin. Hidayatullah Ajmal, the Principal of the School of Excellence and a social activist, along with expatriates Raveez and Abdul Rahman, delivered captivating keynote speeches. Their heartfelt reflections painted a vivid portrait of a leader characterized by compassion, integrity, and unwavering dedication to public service.
Every speech evoked cherished memories and shed light on the significant contributions made by Marhoom Kamardeen Abdul Baiz throughout his illustrious career.





Adding to the emotional atmosphere, Nusri Rahmatullah presented a poignant poem dedicated to the late leader. The verses beautifully encapsulated the essence of his character, resonating deeply with the audience and further solidifying their admiration for his extraordinary life.
Shahid Sharafath, a pivotal figure in the creation of the book “Son of Puttalam,” eloquently detailed the process behind its inception. He unveiled special copies of the book, symbolizing the reverence and significance bestowed upon his memory. The digital publication of the book on the Clean Nation Party’s website (www.cleannation.lk/book4kab), spearheaded by Mr. Mohamed Mufassir, was acknowledged and praised. Editor Abbas, who was the secretary to the deputy minister of livestock during Marhoom Kamardeen Abdul Baiz’s time, and Editor Z.A. Zanhir, the Former Director of Puttalam Zonal Education (Tamil Unit), were also recognized for their invaluable contributions and suggestions during the manuscript’s development.
Guiding the event with finesse, Saheedh Ahsaf ensured a seamless flow, captivating the audience with his eloquence. His skillful hosting allowed attendees to fully immerse themselves in the tribute to the late leader.
As the event drew to a close,p. Isham Marikar, Leader of Clean Nation and Founder of the KAB Foundation, presented special copies of the book to the 30 distinguished guests in attendance. In his heartfelt expression of gratitude, he extended appreciation to all those who contributed to the event’s success, emphasizing the everlasting impact of his legacy.
