COLOMBO : In response to various media reports on helicopter rides by presidential candidates, the Sri Lanka. Airforce pointed out that recently, there have been media reports about the alleged misuse of SLAF aircraft for campaigning by presidential candidates. “ We wish to clarify that aircraft are provided to candidates on payment basis as per the standard procedure.”
“ We urge that any reporting pertaining to SLAF be done with verified information to ensure that news articles are accurate,” the statement concluded.
