RIYADH : The Sri Lanka Cultural Forum ( SLCF-Cultural Arm under the Embassy of Sri Lanka) donated a stock of medical equipment-Mini Oxygen Concentrators valued at over Rs 1,250,000/ funded by the Sri Lankan Community in Riyadh , Saudi Arabia for onward despatch to Sri Lanka to meet the urgent demands in government hospitals across Sri Lanka due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The members of SLCF seen handing-over the equipment to Mr Dulmith Waruna (Charge-de-Affairs)at a simple ceremony at the embassy premises in Riyadh. Sri Lankan airlines will arrange freight free-of-charge, SCF President Nihal Gamage told Colombo Times from Riyadh on Saturday, Oct.23
The donation was made in response to a request made by the Foreign ministry through its embassy in Riyadh solicitng
